The Artist - Rosie Burns Rosie trained in Archaeological illustration, published drawings within the field, completing a degree in Archaeology and Sociology in the late 1990s. After qualifying to teach Art and Design, she went on to teach in many and various educational establishments. Rosie exhibits with a number of galleries across the UK, regularly participates in selected national and international open exhibitions; supplementing sales with teaching and running workshops and life drawing days. She is prolific and fruity, a magpie for collecting images. Her work is often concerned with water, skies, environmental musings, and depicting the human form, she is a printmaker and painter, an illustrator and writer – a maker, an arts worker. There is a dichotomy in style and intention between her landscape and figurative work. | |
